As anyone who has fallen into a TikTok rabbit hole for an hour or more can tell you, there are some incredibly funny creators on the platform. It goes without saying that TikTok is home to an endless amount of quality car content, and we’d be remiss if we didn’t share the short videos that we’ve laughed with and credit the people behind them.
Hilarious videos are hard to make. This is doubly true for short format, Vine-like humor. The setup has to work, the punchline has to land, and the timing has to be perfect. That’s hard to do in 8 seconds, but @bradycfitzgerald nailed it.
I’ve giggled at this TikTok more times that I like to admit and I’ve shared it with every truck person I know.

I guess I can relate to this TikTok so much because last September I purchased a Silverado 2500HD gasser with 4.10 gears. Â If you’ve ever driven a fairly low geared vehicle you can appreciate the humor here, because you are already familiar with the theatrics involved when accelerating to even just moderate speeds in everyday traffic… You press the accelerator, and then you press it some more, and then you give it a little more, only to see your tachometer needle swing past 3500 rpm as you slowly accelerate through 50mph. Â But it seems like you should be going faster. Way faster.Â

That’s the beauty of driving a low geared workhorse, and the reason why I revisit this video often for a good laugh.
